Will Fallout New Vegas provide a longer gameplay than FO3, and will the map area be larger?

I just want to know if the same amount of effort will put into the making of New Vegas, like for example will there be a larger area to explore, more locations to discover, etc. Thanks if anybody can help.Will Fallout New Vegas provide a longer gameplay than FO3, and will the map area be larger?
I think that NV will provide longer gameplay although it is unknown to the public right now roughly how many hours it will take to clear everything. I just got New Vegas and the guidebook, and I can assure you everything you loved about Fallout 3 has returned with a vengeance. It gives you exactly what you loved about the previous game. The map is a little bit smaller, but It's okay. There's a little bit more gameplay and more to do all aroun

It is not really confirmed yet whether the map will be bigger or there will be more content. Considering it takes like 100 hours to completely finish all of the Fallout 3 missions, I don't think it will matter. New Vegas although is going to be a completely different environment and has a few game play tweaks that will make it feel quite a bit different from Fallout 3. Also the same company that developed Fallout 3 is not developing New Vegas so there's no saying what it's going to be like.
Possibly a longer story yes, The area will be roughly the same me thinks.



Its all going to be pretty different in total anyways.
